Business Arts Partnership program and the Artistic Excellence Award
The King Arts Complex won the Greater Columbus Arts Council "Artistic Excellence" award for the art installation and educational exhibit "Cargo: The Middle Passage" on 04/25/06. Ron's triptych entitled "Cargo" is the centerpiece of the exhibit which includes two life-size sculpures of children by artist Woodrow Nash.
This $10,000.00 award for the King Arts Complex is well deserved and shows a recognition of the outstanding achievements of Executive Director Barbara Nicholson and her professional staff. Ron and I were very excited to hear this wonderful news and congratulate Barbara Nicholson and every member of her staff who made the dream of creating this exceptional art installation a reality.
