The Columbus Symphony Orchestra

Inspirational music

I recently renewed our Classical Season Subscriptions for The Columbus Symphony Orchestra for our family. Ron, our two sons and I attend concerts together and I spotted some of Ron's sketches this week, from last season.

Ron takes a sketchbook along to each of the concerts we attend and draws whatever captures his imagination from architecture to  patrons.

In his art studio you will almost always hear jazz or the blues and sometimes classical music while he is painting.  Miles Davis is high on his list of music to paint to...

Visit The Columbus Symphony Orchestra web site for information about upcoming concerts!

Elizabeth Ann James, Short North Gazette

Short North Gazette 7/06

Columnist, Elizabeth Ann James penned a very nice write-up about Ron's artwork in the 7/06 issue of the Short North Gazette publication. The article can be found on pages 22-23 in the Art Review section.

"...Ron Anderson of CCAD...fits the description of Columbus, Ohio's own power painter...he recently concluded "Moments", a strong show at the Ohio State University Faculty Club..."

Thanks to Elizabeth, readers of the Short North Gazette will be made aware of Ron's paintings, and we value wonderful opportunities like this to reach a larger audience!

The Peggy R. McConnell Arts Center of Worthington, "Art People Project"

"Art People Project"

Artists with ties to the Worthington, Ohio community will show their support for Worthington's Art Center by showing their art. The "Art People Project" is a community-wide effort that will help to increase public awareness about the Peggy R. McConnell Arts Center.

Artists are being asked to create  an original Art People-inspired work in their chosen medium. Proceeds from this fundraiser activity will benefit the capital campaign for the Arts Center.

Ron served as a Trustee on the Board of Directors of the Worthington Arts Council previously and is looking forward to the opening of the Center in our community.

Visit www.worthingtonarts.org for more detail

"...The 4-foot tall figures are made of exterior grade plywood, and they are sanded, primed, and ready for decoration. Upon completion, you can display your Art People in a prominent location (outdoor mounting materials are also included) as a show of support for the McConnell Arts Center..."
