Wexner Center for the Arts, Slideluck Potshow (update)

Great news !

Ron was contacted by Amanda Potter, who is the Educator for Public and University Programs with the Wexner Center for the Arts, about his submission of artwork for the Slideluck Potshow to be held on 8/3/07.

This is a juried event, and Ron was selected as one of the local artists to participate in what is the first Slideluck Potshow to be held in Columbus, Ohio. We are very pleased to have this opportunity to share Ron's oil paintings with the community.

The evening will include a potluck meal, and a slide presentation of work by local artists. Amanda is working in collaboration with Slideluck Potshow, which is a nonprofit organization in New York. They have held similar shows in New York, and other cities.

YouTube , Ron Anderson Studio playlists

I created a playlist on YouTube that I have entitled "Art" that will display video clips from prominent Museums.

The clips vary in length, and are quite interesting to view. The commentary highlights the extraordinary artwork on display in the various Museums.

When I have time, I am going to add more clips, and look for additional content. Ron and I are thinking about clips of our own to add that might show him working on a painting in his studio or show him at one of his art exhibits.

Wexner Center for the Arts, "Slideluck Potshow"

"Slideluck Potshow"

Ron has submitted a selection of his oil paintings for the upcoming "Slideluck Potshow" at the Wexner Center for the Arts.

The event takes place on 8/3/07 at 6:30 p.m. and will showcase the artwork of local artists.

After a potluck dinner, artists will give five minute presentations of their work in an informal and relaxed environment.

"...The Wexner Center is developing this event in collaboration with Slideluck Potshow, a nonprofit organization that mounts similar presentations several times a year in New York and has recently begun to take the concept on the road--to Chicago, Los Angeles, and several other cities..."

"The History of the Rule of Law" Supreme Court of Ohio Law Library

The Supreme Court of Ohio/The Ohio Judicial Center

Ron's paintings are included in the permanent art collection of The Supreme Court of Ohio.

One of Ron's art commissions involved creating six  4' x 8' oil paintings for The Supreme Court of Ohio. The art installation is entitled  "The History of the Rule of Law".

The paintings were commissioned by the Ohio State Bar Association, and are a part of the permanent art collection of the Supreme Court of Ohio located in the Ohio Judicial Center.

Ron's artwork is on display on the 11th floor outside of the Law Library in the Law Library Gallery. All six oil paintings can be viewed on our web site at "The History of the Rule of Law"
